(NEWPORT
NEWS, VA) — Christopher Newport University is bracing for a British invasion. "1964" ... The
Tribute will perform in The Freeman Center on Saturday, November
13, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for faculty, staff and alumni, and
$15 for the general public through Friday, November 5. After November
5, all tickets are $20. The concert is free for CNU students. Call
the Ferguson Center for the Arts box office at 594-8752 for ticket
information.
Called "The best Beatles tribute show on Earth" by Rolling
Stone magazine, 1964 recreates an early 1960s live concert
by the "Fab Four" with period instruments, costumes and hairstyles.
Featured on several nationally televised programs, 1964 has
appeared at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, England and during
the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Christopher Newport University is a four-year public university
