Writers' Advisory Council sponsors public reading

(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) — Writers and members of the public are invited to a public reading at 7 p.m. on March 17 in the Freight Shed located in Yorktown’s Riverwalk Landing, 331 Waters St., Yorktown. Writers will read a maximum of 10 minutes of their work, either prose or poetry. The reading is free and open to the public.

The event is sponsored by Christopher Newport University's Writers' Advisory Council and the York County Arts Commission to promote the 25th Annual Writers’ Conference and Writing Contest to be held April 7-8 at CNU's Ferguson Center for the Arts.
