(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) — Christopher Newport University’s residential program won numerous awards at the annual Virginia Association of College and University Residence Hall conference in February at Radford University.

CNU's resident assistants and residential leaders dominate the state in innovative social and educational programming. All of the monthly award nominations were written and submitted by CNU's newly formed National Residence Hall Honorary and its President Jeni Ramos and Vice President Amaka Ozah.

Fourteen residential student leaders represented CNU at the conference: Anna Hastings, Anna Richter, Lauren Owens, Jeni Ramos, BethAnn Crocker, Kearsten Ruud, Tim Wacek, Kim Dodson, Mike Scott, Amaka Ozah, Chad Gardner, Betsy Groves, Dan Zimmerman and Ryan Brown. These students met colleagues from a dozen other schools, learned about many new ideas in programming and residential leadership.
