(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) — The New Orleans-based rock-pop group Better Than Ezra will perform at Christopher Newport University at 9 p.m. on Oct. 21.
The concert at The Freeman Center, the university's sports and convocation center, is presented by the Campus Activities Board and is part of the university's Homecoming weekend.
Better Than Ezra’s hits date as far back as the early 1990s (“Good,” “Roselia,” “Desperately Wanting”) and newer hits such as the Desperate Housewives theme song “Juicy,” “Lifetime” and “King of New Orleans.” Regional favorite Fighting Gravity also will appear.
Tickets are available to the general public beginning Oct. 4 for $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets for CNU students are $5 with a valid CNU ID in advance and $7 the day of the show. Tickets must be purchased with cash or check on the day of the show.
