(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) — If your website isn’t getting the results you expected, you may need to change the content or integrate web presence into your marketing plan.

The Virginia Electronic Commerce Technology Center (VECTEC) at Christopher Newport University is offering a class on “Creating Content for the Web.” VECTEC works with small business and individuals to help them better use the Internet.

The three-hour class will provide an overview on creating effective content for websites, including practical advice to make your site attractive and easy to use.  It also will include information about adapting your marketing plans to web components.  Other topics covered include effective copy writing, content planning, demand generation and measuring results.

This class will be 9 a.m. to noon, Nov. 9, in the VECTEC office at 301 Hiden Blvd.  The cost is $45.

To register for classes, go to www.vectec.org/registration.  If you have questions, please call (757) 594-7092.
