VECTEC offers class on developing, improving websites
News Release - Dec. 5, 2006 Media contact: (NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) — The Virginia Electronic Commerce Technology Center (VECTEC) at Christopher Newport University is offering a class to help small businesses and individuals develop or improve their websites. Netcraft reports there are now more than 100 million websites worldwide, and the growth is accelerating. Recent studies show the number of websites increases 30 percent a year. If you’re thinking about creating your own website, VECTEC is offering a course that will teach you what you need to know in order to be successful. “Creating Websites 101” is a hands-on course for people who are relatively new to web design and who want to use Macromedia Dreamweaver to build their website. To get the most from this course, participants should have a basic knowledge of the Internet and HTML. This class is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 12, in the VECTEC office at 301 Hiden Boulevard, Newport News.
