(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) — Christopher Newport University is hosting a Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 in the Music and Theatre Hall of the Ferguson Center for the Arts.
Free and open to the public, the program features a brief showing of King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, and jazz and choral music.
CNU Chamber Choir, CNU Women’s Chorus, CNU Jazz Band, and the Zion Baptist Church Choir of Hampton with pianist Don Morse will perform.
The event is sponsored by the CNU Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Department of Music.
