Gabriele Lingenfelter, accounting instructor at Christopher Newport University, has been appointed to the Board of Examiners for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) — An accounting instructor at Christopher Newport University has been appointed to the Board of Examiners for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Gabriele Lingenfelter, coordinator and instructor of the auditing course in the Joseph W. Luter, III School of Business, will serve on the Audit and Attestation Subcommittee, which reviews questions and tests for the computer-based Uniform CPA Examination to ensure technical accuracy and appropriateness for entry-level CPAs. 

Additional duties include the review of the preparation of questions, answers and scoring rubrics for future examinations.

The committee consists of 10 members who either have a minimum of three to five years of experience with supervising entry-level auditing personnel or professors currently teaching auditing in college.

The AICPA, with a current membership of more than 300,000 professionals, is the national organization for CPAs.
