Where are the students being housed -- now and for fall semester? Students who were already residing in Madison prior to the fire can move into the Holiday Inn immediately. Students who were not already moved in should wait until the weekend of August 18. All Madison residents will be paired up with a roommate from their Madison apartment assignment (A&B, C&D). Room switches within the hotel are discouraged but will be accommodated as soon as possible once all Madison residents have moved into the hotel. We will make every effort to return students to campus as beds become available. All the hotel rooms are furnished with a TV, two full size beds (including linens and towels), a dresser, closet space and desk space. Each Pointe Plaza Suite has a kitchenette, including dishes and cooking utensils, and a living room. Housekeeping will be provided twice a week. In addition to hotel staff, a Resident Assistant will be assigned to the hotel. The CNU Apartments Hall Director and the Director and Associate Director of Residence Life will also be available to assist Madison residents. Additional security is provided at both locations from 5pm-7am. CNU Housing and Residence Life policies will still apply. Additional hotel policies will also apply. Update meetings, programs and social gatherings will be held at the hotel as well as on campus for Madison residents. Who's paying for their hotel fees? How has the fire affected the housing contract signed by students to live in Madison Hall? What if affected students want to live with friends on campus? |
