CNU welcomes its Largest and Best Qualified freshman class

This year’s freshman class at CNU is also the largest in the school’s history, at 1279. More than 7400 applications were received (also a record for CNU), with students applying from 44 different states. CNU received 5,270 applications from Virginia residents. Of those who applied, 49% were accepted.
One third of the freshman class hails from Northern Virginia, 15% are from Richmond, and 12% are from Hampton Roads. Seventy-nine percent of freshman applicants listed a Virginia locality as their hometown. The topten localities represented are Richmond, Newport News, Virginia Beach, Fredericksburg, Fairfax, Springfield, Chesapeake, Alexandria, Yorktown and Midlothian.
