CNU Ice Hockey Team kicks off their season

The game will be held at the Captains' home rink, the Hampton Roads Iceplex in Yorktown , Virginia. Face-off is at “With the largest and most talented incoming class in the team's history, including 11 freshmen, combined with a new assistant coach, the team is looking forward to a successful season,” said team Recruiting Director and Junior Defenseman Paul Clegg. “It is our fourth year and with our strong core and impressive incoming class, we hope to give the fans plenty to cheer about this season.” To get the fans excited about the upcoming season, the team will also hold an open skate night on Friday, Sept. 21 at 11:00 p.m. This event is $5 per person and includes skate rental. This will be a chance for fans to meet the players, take shots on the goalie, and learn a few skating and puck handling tricks. The CNU Captains, a member of the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference and the American College Hockey Association, have an exciting lineup this season, with games against teams from The College of William and Mary, Old Dominion University , Virginia Commonwealth University and even The University of Central Florida.
