CNU’s Virginia Electronic Commerce Technology Center (VECTEC) establishes Advisory Board

The Virginia Electronic Commerce Technology Center was established at Christopher Newport University in October 1994 and has a staff of 20 full and part time employees and supports 3 Regional offices in Abingdon, Lebanon and South Boston , Virginia. VECTEC's mission is to help keep the Virginia economy competitive in the world markets by fostering community education regarding an information technology based environment, promoting electronic commerce through education, regional offices, and business models and by being an advocate for the new electronic commerce paradigm throughout the Commonwealth. VECTEC is the economic development outreach program for the university.
