(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) - The Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Department of Music at Christopher Newport University will be presenting a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Center for the Arts Music and Theatre Hall. The program will feature a brief presentation of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, other selected readings, and vocal and jazz music. The CNU Men’s Chorus, CNU Women’s Chorus, CNU Jazz Combo, CNU faculty Mezzo-Soprano Lisa Relaford Coston, and the Zion Baptist Church Choir of Hampton with pianist Don Morse will take part in this special Commemoration.
