CNU Holds 2nd Annual Scholarship Golf Classic and Auction at Kingsmill

(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) - Christopher Newport University is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Scholarship Golf Classic and Auction at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg on Saturday, April 26. Hundreds are expected to attend, including Governor Timothy Kaine, and Attorney General Bob McDonnell. This the second year both Governor Kaine and Attorney General McDonnell have attended this special event at the invitation of Delegate Phil Hamilton.
The full day of events kicks off at 10:30 a.m., with the Pre-Tournament President’s Hospitality Tent. At noon, the Tournament will begin. At 5:30 p.m., the Auction Preview and Post-Tournament Party will start. At 6:00 p.m., Bill Deal’s Rhondels will be on hand to perform. At 7:00 p.m., the Live Auction will begin.
Two sponsors are generously supporting this event; Platinum Sponsor - Dominion Resources, and Diamond Sponsor – Riverside Hospital. Both are establishing endowments as a result of this tournament, as well as annual scholarship programs and internship programs. All proceeds of this event will support the education of deserving students through CNU’s scholarship endowment.
