(NEWPORT NEWS, VA) – Femme Sole is an interdisciplinary women’s studies journal published annually that strives to provide undergraduates with opportunities to publish their outstanding scholarship and research pertaining to women in all academic fields of study. While broad in scope, Femme Sole seeks to promote the universality and importance of women’s studies in all fields of inquiry.
Submission instructions include:
- Papers should be submitted via e-mail to femmesole@cnu.edu no later than Monday, December 15.
- Femme Sole’s editorial staff will confirm receipt within 24 hours, request hard copies of your paper, and a signed copy of the Author Agreement Form. The Author Agreement Form is located at http://sites.google.com/a/cnu.edu/femme-sole-women-s-studies-journal/Home.
- Papers should be at least 7 pages in length and written for a well-educated general audience. Highly technical manuscripts may be submitted for consideration but may need to be edited if selected for publication.
- Please make sure pages are numbered and that the author's name appears only on the front page of the paper.
- All citation styles are accepted (i.e. MLA, APA, Chicago).
- Please include an abstract (approx. 150-200 words in length) with your research. Submission of graphs, illustrations, etc. applicable to your research is strongly encouraged.
Acceptable submissions include research papers done for CNU classes, or independent research carried out under the guidance of a CNU faculty member.
