Christopher Newport University Center for Economic Education Announces Winners of Spring 2009 Stock Market Game
News Release - April 24, 2009 Students from Gloucester and Woodside high schools were the winners in the CNU Center for Economic Education’s Spring 2009 Stock Market Game (SMG). The SMG is a 10-week Stock Market simulation, where students are given $100,000 in virtual money and “invest” in the stocks of their choice. The game is sponsored by the CNU Center for Economic Education and SMG is a registered trademark and the game is sponsored by the Virginia Council on Economic Education. The top teams will next be ranked among all teams in Virginia.
1st Place 2nd Place 3rd Place ***************************************************************************** The following area high school students were winners in the CNU Center for Economic Education’s Fall 2008 Stock Market Game (SMG). First, second and third place winners were all from Jamestown High School and all students traded under the direction of their teacher, Richard Ambler. 1st Place 2nd Place Christopher Newport University is a four-year public university in Newport News, Virginia.
