(NEWPORT NEWS, VA) - Christopher Newport University President Paul Trible will be the guest speaker at the LifeLong Learning Society's (LLS) 2009 kick-off event on Wednesday, September 2 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Center's Music & Theatre Hall. President Trible will discuss the state of the university and exciting plans for its future.
In addition to the lecture featuring President Trible, LifeLong Learning Society members have a myriad of interesting and thought-provoking courses to choose from this season. Fall courses include "Understanding Opera," "Wine Appreciation," "Spanish,'" "Great Speeches in History," "Watercolor Painting" and "Genealogy," among others. All LLS courses are designed to keep seniors active and on top of current trends. Fall membership ranges from $130 - $225 with classes beginning on Monday, September 7, 2009.
