(NEWPORT NEWS, VA) - CNU's BB&T Colloquium Series on Capitalism will present its first lecture of the fall semester on Monday, October 26, 2009, at 4:00 p.m.

Dr. Michael Munger, chair of the department of political science at Duke University will address issues of justice related to price gouging, ticket scalping and mandatory recycling programs. The lecture will be held in CNU's David Student Union Ballroom and is free and open to the public.  No reservation is required.

Dr. Munger was a staff economist at the Federal Trade Commission before entering academia. His research interests include the study of ideology, legislative institutions, elections and public policy. His current research interests include the evolution of the ideology of racism in the antebellum South, the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act and a study of complexity in an experimental setting using human subjects. His most recent book, Analyzing Policy: Choices, Conflicts and Practices, was published in 2000.
