CNU’s Hunter Live on the Air Wednesday
(Newport News, Va.) - Christopher Newport Women’s Basketball Coach Carolyn Hunter, whose team is 15-0 so far this season, will be interviewed live on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM Wednesday afternoon at 3:05 p.m.. Hunter, who’s in her 12th season coaching the CNU women, will be a guest on the Tony Mercurio show, which airs daily on the all-sports station. The 15-0 start is the best start in the 38-year history of the women’s program. The streak also matches the longest winning streak in women’s basketball history. The Captains are ranked #15 in the nation this week following road wins last weekend at Averett and Ferrum. Hunter’s squad is now 8-0 atop the USA South Athletic Conference. CNU will host Methodist Friday night at the Freeman Center in a 7 p.m. tipoff. The Captains also have a Sunday afternoon home game against Greensboro at 2 p.m..
