World-Renowned Wildlife Photographer to Lecture
on Animal Behavior and Photo Technique

(Newport News, Va.) - Wildlife photographer Tom Ulrich, whose work has appeared in National Geographic, will lecture on animal behavior and photo technique at Christopher Newport University on Thursday, January 21, at 7 p.m. The lecture will be held in McMurran Hall, Room 101. The event is free and open to the public. No reservation is required.

Ulrich's 300,000 plus transparencies include close to 500 avian species and 90 mammal species from North America. His work has been featured in national wildlife publications such as National Geographic, Audubon, Ranger Rick, National Wildlife and American Hunter among others. Ulrich's numerous awards include the 2005 North American Nature Photographer Fellow Award and the International Wildlife Photographer of the Year. He has led tours and photography workshops in many remote parts of the world such as the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, East Africa, Patagonia, and Tierra Del Fuego.
